Our jewelry is made with care from precious metals such as sterling silver and gold-filled 14-carat gold. We only use natural gemstones, which are as untreated as possible. The tassels are from a beautiful quality of cotton or silk thread, and the wood is from rare sandalwood.
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver tarnishes, especially when exposed to salty air and products containing sulfur, such as rubber bands and some papers. However, silver that is regularly used typically needs less care. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to use or wear your jewelry every day.
You can clean the jewelry with warm water, a soft toothbrush, and neutral detergent. If the piece is still oxidized, you can dip it in the liquid silver cleaner for max. 5 sec. Then rinse the piece in water and polish with a soft, dry cloth. The process can be repeated, but never leave your jewelry in the cleaning fluid for longer than prescribed.
Gold
Avoid exposing gold jewelry to household bleach, which will quickly cause gold to discolor and possibly disintegrate.
You can clean the jewelry wiping the pearls gently with a damp cloth.
Gemstones
Take care to protect your jewelry from impact against hard surfaces and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces. The gemstones can chip if hit with enough force or at just the right angle. Extreme temperatures, perfumes, cosmetics, ultrasonic cleaning, and household chemicals can also damage jewelry.
You can clean the jewelry by wiping the pearls gently with a damp cloth.
Wood
Sandalwood is rare and should be treated carefully. Please do not get it wet or sweaty, as that will cause it to dry out and turn white. If you find yours to be dried out, please send them back, we will refresh them with sandalwood oils. If you find them losing their smell, put them in a ziplock bag overnight, and their scent should be restored.
Tassels
From time to time, tassels might fray, which is normal after wearing them for a while or getting wet. Extreme temperatures, perfumes, cosmetics, ultrasonic cleaning, and household chemicals can also change the tassel and its color.
